To meet the growing interest in using telemedicine to improve health care delivery, ATA, with the briefing expertise and thought leadership of Neal Neuberger launched the Telehealth Capitol Connection (TCC), a bi-monthly briefing series for Congress, federal agencies, national organizations, and other interested stakeholders.

As the single largest source of federal funds for states, the largest payor of mental health services, and the primary payor for long-term care services, the Medicaid program is responsible for ensuring access to healthcare services for an estimated 20 percent of Americans. Telehealth is playing an increasing role in states’ decisions on healthcare access, delivery, and fiscal challenges affecting their Medicaid beneficiaries. ATA , Hill staff and stakeholders engaged in discussion as experts highlighted various state approaches to use telemedicine to address patient engagement, cost containment, and timely access to care for Medicaid beneficiaries.
